In the 22 years since its establishment in 1998, Tabreed has become the region’s leading district cooling provider. Through its 83 plants in the GCC, the company provides cooling solutions to landmark projects at the heart of national and regional economic development and diversification, while delivering significant savings in energy consumption, costs, and carbon dioxide emissions.

Tabreed currently delivers over 1.342 million refrigeration tons to key developments in the region, including iconic infrastructure and high profile projects including The Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Water world, Burj Mohammed Bin Rashid, ALDAR HQ, St Regis Nation Towers, Sun & Sky Towers, Etihad Towers, The Ritz-Carlton, World Trade Centre, and Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi.

Regionally, Tabreed operates in Saudi Arabia through its affiliate “Saudi Tabreed,” formally known as Saudi Tabreed District Cooling Company. Some of the major projects the company serves in Saudi Arabia include Saudi Aramco, Jabal Omar Development Project, and King Abdullah Financial District. In Oman, Tabreed operates through its subsidiary Tabreed Oman and some of the major projects are Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) and Oman Avenues Mall. As for Tabreed’s operations in Bahrain, through Bahrain District Cooling Company BSC (Tabreed Bahrain) – a private sector joint venture company majority owned by Tabreed, the company currently operates an underground district cooling plant that runs using sea water and provides cooling services to some of the most prestigious developments in Bahrain. Some of the major projects are: Villamar, The Avenues Mall, Reef Island, Bahrain Financial Harbour and Bahrain World Trade Center.

In addition to the GCC Tabreed established its first international office in India entering a 30-year concession with Andhra Pradesh government to build, own, operate and transfer India’s first district cooling system in the state’s new capital Amaravati.
